Premium Rockbox Dual Boot and Music Libraries

The iPod 5th Generation is one of the most mature and well-supported platforms for Rockbox, making it an excellent choice for music enthusiasts. Switch between the original Apple interface and Rockbox for advanced playback and personalization. Rockbox is independent, open-source firmware and is not made or endorsed by Apple.

Sync music in the usual way with iTunes or the Apple Music app on a compatible computer using the original Apple iPod software. Rockbox can access compatible music already stored on the iPod and can import information from the original iPod database, so you generally do not need to copy the same music twice. Some protected or unsupported file formats may not play in Rockbox.

Fully Tested 2TB Storage

Designed for collectors with very large music libraries. Before installation, each microSD card undergoes a full-capacity write and verification test using H2testw to help detect defective memory, false capacity and data integrity problems. Testing reduces risk but does not guarantee against future storage failure; keeping a backup of your music is recommended.

Each unit is assembled after purchase and is not ready for immediate shipment. Estimated processing time is approximately 40 business days before shipment, subject to parts availability and testing. Review the estimated delivery date at checkout.

Testing and Warranty

Completed units are checked for storage recognition, USB-C charging and sync, battery, controls, headphone audio and dual-boot operation.

Includes USB-C cable, basic instructions and a 90-day limited warranty on installed components and workmanship under normal use. Physical or liquid damage, misuse and unauthorized modifications are excluded.
