This device is listed under the “Used” condition category because Apple no longer manufactures iPod Classic devices and truly brand-new original units no longer exist in production.

We prefer to be honest and transparent with our customers rather than incorrectly listing the device as “New.”

All original iPod Classic motherboards available today have been previously used at some point in the past, since Apple discontinued these devices many years ago.

However, this is not a standard used iPod.

This is a professionally custom rebuilt device using original Apple hardware combined with upgraded modern components including:

new battery,

new storage system,

Bluetooth integration,

and premium upgraded internal components.

Every unit is carefully rebuilt, assembled, configured, and tested before shipping.

Battery Information

This custom build uses a massive 3000mAh battery compared to the original Apple battery rated around 680mAh.

Because of the much larger capacity, charging time may take longer than the original configuration.

However, playback time and battery life are significantly improved.

Storage Quality

256GB storage can hold approximately 60,000+ songs depending on file quality and format.

We do not use cheap generic microSD cards in our custom iPod builds.

We only use trusted name-brand storage such as SanDisk and Samsung to provide better long-term reliability and help protect your music library and data.

Many low-cost generic microSD cards found online can become corrupted over time, lose files, randomly disconnect, develop bad sectors, or even report fake storage capacities that are not actually real.

In some cases, very cheap cards may initially appear to work normally, but after transferring large music libraries they can begin overwriting files, causing missing songs, corrupted databases, freezing issues, restore problems, or complete storage failure.

In many situations, it is actually better to have a reliable 256GB build using premium branded storage than a 512GB or 1TB build using very cheap low-quality memory.

A smaller capacity with dependable storage is often much safer and more stable than extremely large storage using unreliable cards that may eventually corrupt your music library or fail unexpectedly.
