This is a fully customized iPod Classic 7th Generation, individually built and tested by Hightech Electronics.

This is not a pre-built, ready-to-ship item. Each iPod is built to order, and every component is tested before the device is completed and shipped.

We are currently experiencing high demand for our custom iPods, particularly our new USB-C builds.

We cannot guarantee completion earlier than the stated 40-business-day timeframe. Please do not purchase this item if you need it sooner.

Building one of these devices is a multi-step process. We source the iPod logic board and individual components, inspect incoming parts, assemble the device, perform the modifications, and fully test the finished iPod.

If a component arrives defective or does not meet our standards, it must be replaced before we continue the build. We also maintain an active repair queue for our existing customers, so we do not rush custom builds at the expense of proper testing.

512GB Flash Storage

The original mechanical hard drive is replaced with a high-quality iFlash storage adapter and a 512GB memory card.

The 512GB card is fully tested before installation. We perform a complete write-and-verification test across the card’s available capacity to check for storage errors or defective sectors/blocks.

We do not simply install the card and assume it is good.

Built-In Bluetooth

Bluetooth is professionally integrated inside the iPod.

The Bluetooth control is incorporated into the Hold Switch, which receives an additional dedicated click/function for Bluetooth operation.

A discreet red indicator light is visible inside the headphone jack when Bluetooth is powered on.

Red light ON = Bluetooth ON

Red light OFF = Bluetooth OFF

USB-C Modification

This iPod includes our custom USB-C modification.

The USB-C opening and surrounding finish are individually shaped and finished by hand for each iPod. Because this modification is handcrafted rather than factory molded, minor variations between individual units are normal and make each build unique.

The finished USB-C surround is painted to coordinate with the Hold Switch and headphone jack trim.

Black trim components receive a matching black finish, while white trim components receive a matching white finish.

Dual Boot – Apple OS + Rockbox

This iPod includes a Dual Boot configuration, allowing you to use:

Original Apple iPod OS

or

Rockbox

Rockbox will be configured with the available theme collection, giving you many different interface styles to choose from.

Detailed instructions are included explaining how to switch between operating systems and the recommended methods for adding and managing your music.

You can continue using the familiar original Apple interface or boot into Rockbox whenever you prefer.

2000mAh Battery

The original battery is upgraded to a 2000mAh high-capacity battery, providing substantially more capacity than the original factory battery.

The battery is installed and tested as part of the complete build.

The replacement housing components are aftermarket parts and are not manufactured by Apple.

Testing & Quality Control

Every custom iPod goes through testing before shipment, including storage testing, charging, battery operation, controls, audio output, Bluetooth functionality, USB-C functionality, Apple OS, Rockbox, and general device operation.

We would rather replace a questionable component and extend the build process than knowingly ship a device that does not meet our standards.
