Rockbox Dual Boot Setup Add-On for iPod Classic Video Repair or Custom Build

Rockbox Dual Boot Setup Add-On for Existing iPod Repair or Custom Build

Professional software installation service only. No iPod, motherboard or other physical part is included.

This offer is for customers who already have an iPod repair, battery replacement, storage upgrade, USB-C modification or customized iPod purchase with Hightech Electronics and want to add Rockbox Dual Boot to that same order. Please message us your original order number after purchase. For standalone installation of an iPod you already own, please use our separate Rockbox mail-in service listing instead.

Compatible with working iPod Video 5G/5.5G and iPod Classic 6G/6.5G/7G, subject to storage and hardware compatibility. We install and configure Rockbox alongside the original Apple OS, test basic functionality, and provide instructions for switching operating systems, accessing music, transferring files and updating the Rockbox database.

Rockbox can scan compatible files synchronized through iTunes/Apple Music and maintain its own music database. Music added directly by drag-and-drop for Rockbox does not automatically appear in the Apple OS library. Supports compatible formats including MP3, FLAC, ALAC and WAV. Optional extra themes available by prior arrangement at additional charge.

Back up your music before service. Data preservation is not guaranteed; this installation does not fix damaged storage, hardware or corrupted libraries. Rockbox does not increase RAM or storage capacity.

Shipping: This is an add-on to your existing Hightech Electronics order. No separate return shipment is required; we pay standard US return shipping for the combined order. The 40-business-day eBay handling policy applies to the combined repair/build; the iPod ships when all work is complete.
